Hello Brassfield Teachers and Staff,
The 2020 STEM Extravaganza (formerly the Math & Science Extravaganza) is on Thursday, Feb 27th at 6-8pm, with pizza service in the cafeteria starting at 5:30pm (for families that pre-order a whole pizza). Please talk to your students about the event now and remind them again before the registration deadline on Feb 19th.
On-line registration is only required for those displaying a research project and/or families pre-ordering a whole pizza. All families are encouraged to attend the event, regardless if you register to display a research project.
Why attend? In addition to viewing the student’s research projects, we will
have great exhibitors throughout the school, including the Scrap Exchange,
the American Wildlife Refuge (with live raptors, like owls, hawks, falcons and
vultures), the Emergency Vet clinic with hands-on stuffed animal surgery and
more.
Reminders:
· This event is free to attend.
· Projects are not judged and open for all grade levels.
· Group projects are allowed.
· Return any completed paper registration forms to the PTA mailbox in the
lobby by Wed, Feb 19th.
Feel free to contact the co-chairs with any specific questions. Contact Jennifer Oldson (oldsonzoo@gmail.com) for general or vendor related questions, or contact Kim Fryar (KimRFryar@gmail.com) for registration questions.
AGAIN THIS YEAR… The class with the highest percentage of registered participants
displaying at the event, will receive a FREE PIZZA PARTY!!
We hope you see you there!
