What's up for next week? Our last week before trackout!
We hope to see all of you on Thursday between 2:30‐3:15 in the Learning Commons for our
North Carolina Wax Museum. This is a very informal event and even if you are pressed for time you can stop in for 10
minutes and just say hello and see your child’s impersonation. You are also welcome to watch all the kids. Your child
will perform their speech as many as 20 times. They are spread out around the library (literally like a museum) and
you roam about freely listening to people that you would like. We will have a list made of who is who so you can
even check off the scholars as you see them.
If you do visit, this will be a wonderful time to fill out the volunteer application in the media center (10 minutes max).
In October it only allows you to complete it on Monday, now it is always open during school hours.
Don’t forget that Friday the 14th is trackout and Mr. Jones scholars will be tracking out of their room.

Announcement for Ms. Kessler's Scholars
Hola padres!
Mrs. Kessler's students have been hard at work in Spanish class on their All About Me projects. They have been working on writing a paragraph about themselves in Spanish for a few weeks. Today in class, we finished our paragraphs, so they are ready to practice! The students are required to bring their notebooks home and read their Spanish paragraph to you this week! They need to get their paragraph signed by you after they read the paragraph. This signature will be a homework grade for Spanish class.
Students can find the rubric for this project under the Projects portion of my website: http://brassyespanol.blogspot.com/. I showed them where it is! They can use this to add to their paragraph at home or to practice in order to get a 4 on the final project. If your student would like a printed out rubric, they can come request a printed version from me!
As always, thank you for your support at home! I am extremely proud of the students and how much they are growing already in Spanish class. Way to go!
Libby Lipetzky
