Running Club Sign Ups!!
Calling all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students that enjoy running and would like to prepare for a race
(1 mile, 2 mile, or 5k). You should join the Brassfield running club! During our weekly runs, we will work on building endurance and speed while fostering a love of running. The club will begin on Wednesday, September 11th and will meet weekly on Wednesdays
from 3:45-4:45. Our last running club will be on Wednesday, November 13th. Runners are welcomed to attend running club over their track out if someone is available to drop them off at the track, sign in with a coach, and pick them up at the carpool loop after
practice as usual. The runners must be picked up promptly at 4:45 in the carpool parking loop. We expect that all students participating in our running club will exhibit PAWS behavior. Runners will receive one warning for poor behavior choices. After the one
warning, runners who are continuing to make poor behavior choices will be asked to leave the club. If you have questions, feel free to contact Libby Lipetzky (elipetzky@wcpss.net).

* If your runner participated in the spring season, you will still need to sign them up again for this fall season.
*IF you are ordering a t-shirt, please bring any t-shirt money to Ms. Kessler between 8:45-9:15am in an envelope with your runner's first and last name on it. Shirts are $12.00, & all checks should be made out to the Brassfield PTA.
*We will be capping the club at 100 runners this year, so please make sure to sign up your runner ASAP if they are interested in joining our fall season!

4th and 5th Grade AIG Reevaluations for 2019-2020 Dates

Nominations are accepted all year. Testing for grades 4-8 takes place twice a school year. Nominations MUST be emailed or written to Stacy Kessler - skessler@wcpss.net
FIRST SEMESTER:
- TRACK 1: Nomination Window CLOSES August 12, 2019. Evaluations completed during August 20 - 31, 2019.
- TRACK 2, 3, 4: Nomination Window CLOSES September 9, 2019. Evaluations completed during September 17 -28, 2019.
SECOND SEMESTER:
- TRACK 1, 2, 3: Nomination Window CLOSES January 3, 2020. Evaluations completed during January 11 - 25, 2020.
- TRACK 4: Nomination Window CLOSES January 27, 2020. Evaluations completed during February 4 - 15, 2020.

Food Drive
Brassfield Food Drive:
Students in Grade 4/Track 1 have designed and will be running a
schoolwide food drive, May 8th-May 22nd. Please donate any
canned food, prepackaged meals, and snack items to help those
in our local community and our Backpack Buddies. There will be
a prize for the grade level that donates the most! Check out the students'
